  • Dona Franks

    Dona grew up in Georgia, but has lived all over the US. She has a bookkeeping certificate from the University of Georgia and a certificate in Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School Online. She got into nonprofit accounting through volunteering with several organizations in her area. She loves being a part of helping teams with a mission to serve, as well as understanding their financial situation to help prepare them to make future decisions. She is married to a retired Army Veteran and cancer survivor. They have two adult daughter, two rescue dogs and crazy cat! Dona enjoys reading, working out, camping and playing with her dogs.

  • Caitlin Frazer

    Caitlin grew up near Boston, MA and spent college in the Bronx, NY, where she earned her MBA and BS in Management from Manhattan College. She moved to California in 2018 and has never left! She stumbled into non-profit accounting through a contract position at a fiscal sponsor in 2020 and greatly enjoyed seeing the positive impact non-profits have in the community and have remained in the sector ever since. Caitlin currently lives in San Diego with her husband and enjoys reading, playing tennis, practicing yoga and engaging in reformer Pilates. However, nothing beats traveling the world with her husband!

  • Amanda Land

    Amanda grew up in the Bay Area, but currently lives in the Midwest. She will soon be making her way back to the West Coast and landing in Oregon. She lives with her husband (and high school sweetheart) and their two-year-old son. She enjoys reading, knitting and walking in nature.

  • Emma Lavelle

    In 2022 Emma starting working as an accountant for a nonprofit serving survivors of DV and learned more than she would have imagined about nonprofit accounting, but also about the amount of care that goes into serving a community at the same time as fundraising, sticking to a budget and navigating constant changes to the landscape. But what stands out the most to her is how much heart and determination others put into the work they do. Emma grew up on the East Coast and went to the University of Delaware to study Management Information Systems. She lived in California for about 5 years, before returning to the East Coast with her dog. She enjoys hiking, trail running, and just generally being outside. She also loves to read, knit and spend time with friends and family.

  • Naomi Lee

    Naomi was introduced to nonprofit bookkeeping when she worked as a Program Assistant a nonprofit in San Francisco. Her responsibilities ranged from Office Manager to payroll and basic bookkeeping. As she continued to work in nonprofit she continued to gravitate more towards the financial aspect of nonprofits. She enjoys managing the day-to-day financials and ensuring everything is balanced and achieving equilibrium in the work she provides for organizations. In addition, improving procedures and finding a more defined path towards the same goal, as well as working towards the improvement of society brings her great satisfaction. Naomi was born and raised in the Bay Area, spending her time moving around San Francisco and Berkeley. She enjoys spending time with her cat, reading, napping, brunch with friends and outdoor excursions with friends.

  • Clare Lubell

    Clare is part nonprofit accountant, part artist and part adventurer. She grew up in California, studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and has taken a number of educational courses over the years ranging from nonprofit accounting to holistic healing to lace weaving. She is primarily self-taught and has worked in accounting since 2004; exclusively nonprofits since 2007. She is committed to making a positive impact through her work with nonprofits and her art. She currently resides in Denmark with her husband and son with a baby on the way!

  • Krystal Mercado

    Krystal was born in San Francisco, moved to Marin in Middle School and attended Tamalpais High School. She has two amazing kids and a toy poodle that is blind in one eye. She enjoys hanging out with her kids and going on new adventures.

  • Frankie Morales

    Frankie received her BS in Business Administration from A. Gary Anderson school of Business. She enjoys sharing her talents and experience in accounting to further advance the mission of organizations that have a positive impact on the community. She has been married for thirteen years and has two children. Frankie grew up in Ventura County and then moved to Riverside where she attended US Riverside. She enjoys cooking, traveling and exploring new places with her family.

  • Ashley Mullen

    Ashley grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in California where she still resides with her husband and two lovely boys. While they are a little too busy for pets, Ashley does love animals! She got into nonprofit accounting by accident, but found she loves it so much she could never leave. She loves that accounting is like a puzzle where everything needs to fit perfectly with each other to find balance. Ashley has an Associates in Arts for Accounting from De Anza College with an Advance Certificate of Achievement for Accounting. She loves to sew and read books.

  • Kathy Renfrow

    Kathy was a Business Manager for Monument Community Partnership in Concord. She loved her clients and helping them be able to focus on their programs and not worry about financials. She grew up in Minnesota until she was ten and then moved to California. She has seven children and fifteen grandchildren. Deborah enjoys going for walks and playing with her grandchildren.
